Welcome to North Cariboo Overland Adventures

NCOadventures is excited to have completed our inaugural Overland Adventure!  Our first adventure was designed with everyone in mind.  All overlanding skills and vehicles were welcome to enjoy our trip, and select the route that best fits their interests.

It all started in Prince George BC, with a Vendors show, and Overlander rig Show N Shine at the Treasure Cove Casino parking lot.

Following the Shows, the group enjoyed a lake side campfire reception sponsored by Northland Dodge, and Pacific Western Brewery.

Then Saturday morning offered three separate routes to our evening's destination of the historic townsite of Barkerville, BC.

These routes included:

  • OFF-ROAD - Make your way to Barkerville the 4x4 way.  Travel through old trails, thick brush, wet mud, and a few forest service roads in between.
  • BACK-ROAD - Follow forest service roads through the backwoods, stopping at many lakes and recreation sites along the way.
  • OPEN-ROAD - No need to have four wheel drive, or even worry about the dirt or dust.  But there is more in store along the way for those wanting to drive the flattop.

Once arrived in Barkerville we will took some time to enjoy a glimpse into BC's history before the evenings festivities begin including a large group dinner at the Wake Up Jakes, and prize draws from many donators!

Participants will also had the chance to unwind at our evening sunset reception hosted by the at the House Hotel Saloon, with more food, drink, and live entertainment by the amazing JP Winslow.

On Sunday, we saddled up and headed back on the three trail levels to make our way back to civilization. While the Off road group played in the mud and trails of the Quesnel Canyon trail, the rest paid a visit to the gravesite of Charles Blessing, and enjoyed a coffee at Cottonwood House before heading to Quesnel for a reception and prizes at regency Chrysler.

A Great time was had by all involved, and many new friends were made.

We are now looking forward to our next adventure!
